2008 HSS/Union Meeting Path Forward: In a continued dialogue HSS managers and staff are scheduled
to meet with union representatives to address and resolve key issues that that were identified in
the 2007 initial exchange between the HSS Focus Group and interested labor union representatives.
In this second phase of Focus Group meetings Union leads and representatives will address these
broader areas of concern with HSS managers and staff as appropriate with regard to the following
topical areas: worker safety training and safety standards, 10 CFR 851 implementation and enforcement,
former worker/employee energy compensation programs, central worker data tracking, health and safety
reporting, and several strategic initiatives to include an aging workforce. The key issues are
summarized in a Path Forward Matrix developed by HSS and union
representatives.
